Pronounced Kay-lee is a gaelic word meaning party or gathering\, usually with folk music\, dancing\, and storytelling\, very similar to an American barn dance. Now they are more often associated with parties\, celebrations and having a great time with friends and families.\nOur tunes\, songs\, and dances are guaranteed to get your feet tapping and you’ll be encouraged to get involved in the dances with our very own caller who’ll guide you through them. Above all\, we have fun and make sure you do too.\nWe are based in West Cornwall. Scarily we have over 100 years’ experience of playing music between us. We love playing our own upbeat Celtic folk music that takes its inspiration from all the different parts of the UK.\n“Whippletree Ceilidh Band is An excellent choice if you want everyone to have fun through fabulous music and dance. There will be a chance to meet everyone’s favourite life-saving hero\, ‘Stormy Stan’ the iconic mascot of the RNLI.
